Geri is a paralegal and legal assistant to Alfonso Layson and for Sarah Bevan in her Independent Children’s Lawyer matters. Geri joined the team in early 2018 after completing an internship programme with us, as she impressed us greatly with her enthusiasm and quick learning. She will often be the first point of contact for our clients.
Geri recently completed a Bachelor of Arts Psychology and Bachelor of Laws with Honours at Macquarie University. Her parallel studies in psychology have equipped her with complementary skills most suitable to the practice of family law. She will likely be admitted as a lawyer in the first half of 2019.
Geri found her passion for family law during a volunteer placement at a community legal centre, where she witnessed the ability of the law to provide positive outcomes for families.
“My innate empathy, positive outlook and compassion enable me to provide sensitive and considered support to clients during the most challenging of circumstances.”
Outside of work, Geri loves maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, socialising with friends, sailing with her family and taking her dog on adventures.
