All of our lawyers know that the separation and divorce process can be a difficult one, and we know that our clients typically feel empowered when they are able to avoid court and reach an amicable agreement. We have an enviable record of resolving most of our cases by negotiating various types of Agreements.
We will also suggest mediation whenever we consider it appropriate. Mediation is a process which involves a trained, independent mediator. Sometimes the lawyers are present but in other types of mediation they are not.
The negotiation process can involve any or all of a number of methods including correspondence between lawyers, meetings or discussions between lawyer, and round table settlement conferences. Negotiations can be undertaken at any stage of a case. It is common for cases to start with negotiations but you can also engage in negotiations during the court process.
